Blackburn Eagles Football Club was formed in 1991 with the aim of giving local children of all abilities, the opportunity to play football and develop basic skills.

We are very proud of the fact that we are one of only a handful of clubs to have gained the prestigious award of Development Club.

The FA Charter Standard Scheme is a core component of The FA Football Development programme. The scheme establishes minimum standards for football development and acts as a quality assurance mechanism recognising well run clubs.

In summary the FA Charter Standard rewards clubs who demonstrate a commitment to raising standards in the following areas:

Administration
Coaching
Child Protection

There are four categories of Charter Standard available. Starting at Charter Standard Club/Adult Club, then progressing to Development Club and finally Community Club.
